About us
An independent Nursery and Pre-school in Truro, Little Minnows Nursery is located on Lemon Street. Our vision is to provide a home from home environment in which children aged 3 months to five years can thrive and grow. Our light and airy rooms, sympathetically decorated and equipped with age appropriate toys and resources, provide a caring, stimulating and nurturing indoor space. We benefit from a large enclosed garden, unusual for a nursery in Truro with a multitude of areas to be explored, whether during child-led or adult-led activities, little ones will love the sense of freedom and adventure.
Little Minnows is a family run nursery in Truro which opened at the start of June 2021. As child numbers continue to increase we are looking for Level 3 or higher qualified practitioners to come and join our ever growing team. We are looking to fill two full time positions of 40 hours per week.
You will assist your room leader in the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of your room. This will include; ensuring high quality practice within your room, promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues and ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times.
You’ll need to have a positive attitude, be organised and supportive of the Nursery Management and your colleagues. Practitioners must have sound knowledge of, and be competent in, all aspects of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
We are serious about continuous development and adding value. You will be expected to use your knowledge and experience to identify how we can consistently improve care, education and processes to enhance the care Little Minnows gives.
Candidates must hold at least a Level 3 certificate in a relevant childcare qualification. Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid certificates are preferred but not essential as mandatory training can be provided if required. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. We are also committed to providing career development opportunities and additional CPD training to support your personal development.
