Responsibilities
- Vigilantly monitor open water swimming areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies.
- Enforce safety rules and regulations, ensuring all guests follow proper swimming protocols.
- Provide friendly, professional guest services by assisting visitors with inquiries, directions, and safety information.
- Conduct routine safety inspections of the swimming area, including checking rescue equipment and water conditions.
- Respond promptly to incidents or distressed swimmers using rescue techniques such as CPR or first aid when necessary.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and emergency responders during incidents or safety drills.
- Support management by assisting with daily operations, guest engagement, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
Experience
- A valid Open Water Lifeguard Certificate is required
- Previous experience in water safety or lifeguarding is preferred but not required;
- Strong management skills with the ability to oversee safety procedures and coordinate team efforts effectively.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor that enhances visitor experience.
- Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods while maintaining high levels of vigilance.
- Certification in Open Water Lifeguarding must be provided on application. Further site-specific training will be provided during employment

Pay: £16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 20.0 per week
