Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Assistant to support individuals in their daily lives within their private residence. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised care, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being for clients. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Help with household tasks including cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Maintain clear communication with care teams and family members regarding client wellbeing
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Monitor and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff
- Use IT systems to update records and document care activities accurately
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with experience in driving clients safely
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow specified procedures effectively
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for clear communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ independence and wellbeing
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
