About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our team in Birmingham. In this role, you will act as a key financial support function for our UK logistics and warehouse operations. You will be responsible for managing payment approvals, bank reconciliations, supplier statements, and ensuring accurate data entry into our accounting systems. - Review and process UK warehouse and logistics-related payments, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
- Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliations and manage transaction records.
- Conduct supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Upload and maintain accurate financial data in UK accounting software.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and general administrative finance tasks.
- Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to verify operational expenses and invoices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with UK accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Strong understanding of UK financial processes, AP/AR, and reconciliation.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Preferred: Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment is highly advantageous.
- Fluent in English; strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
