Shampooch is a well established grooming salon of 13 years located in the village of Snainton, Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
We are looking for a self employed dog groomer to join our team on a part time basis. The role will be renting a table within our spacious and fully facilitated salon where everything will be provided for apart from personal equipment such as scissors, clippers, sprays etc.
The salon is a wonderful, calm and caring environment for the dogs, staff and clients with a spacious open plan grooming room, plenty of onsite parking, an outside enclosed garden/toilet area for the dogs, separate seated consultation/reception area, staff room, intercom system for ease for groomers and safety for dogs, air conditioning/heating and access to the highest quality equipment and products.
The ideal groomer will have relevant qualifications, at least 2 years salon experience, and be able to carry out a wide variety of grooms to a high standard independently. We are a very supportive team so help is on hand if needed but please be aware this is not a training role or a position suitable for newly qualified groomers.
The current position advertised would be available only for days when no other goomers would be in the salon, so this has to be taken into consideration
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a passion for the dogs under your care and their wellbeing, the ability to manage your daily work schedule and a pride in your working environment.
Part time working options are available across 3 days, Friday to Sunday with very competitive rental rates. More weekdays may be available during staff holidays.
We have a high footfall of clients to the salon and daily new enquiries that we cannot accommodate, as all our current groomers are at full capacity.
