We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Gym Manager to lead our fitness centre team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving membership sales. Duties
- Lead and supervise the team, ensuring high standards of service delivery and professionalism
- Develop and implement programmes to enhance member engagement and retention
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, facility maintenance, and safety compliance
- Manage sales targets by promoting memberships and retail products
- Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and team meetings to foster a motivated work environment
- Maintain accurate administrative records, including member information, attendance logs, and sales data
- Ensure excellent phone etiquette when handling enquiries and bookings
- Monitor merchandising displays to optimise retail sales opportunities
- Analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions
- Foster a positive team culture through effective communication and leadership
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the fitness or retail industry, with strong supervisory skills
- Demonstrable team management and leadership capabilities
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Proven ability to drive revenue, build relationships and increase membership sales
- Proficiency in CRM Management and able to demonstrate how to utilise these tools effectively
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Previous experience in retail or fitness centre management is advantageous
- Organised with excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment
