We currently have three endoscopy units across our three sites, The Birmingham Treatment Centre (BTC), Sandwell Health Campus and the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH). We are Looking for qualified nurses with PIN number, or newly qualified awaiting their PIN.
The applicant should have post registration experience, be able to delegate duties, co-ordinate, show leadership skills or willing to develop. You should have completed a mentorship program/SLAIP or ENB998 to mentor student nurses or willing to complete this course.
Their are many opportunities to joining our Trust and department such as progressing to Band 6 role, or becoming a Clinical Nurse Endoscopist. Our Endoscopy Unit is JAG Accredited, we have been recognised as the Teaching/Training Hub for staff, our nursing staff currently assist with training at BCU to other Endoscopy Nursing staff from different Trust.
We are looking for skilled and newly qualified nurses to join our growing Endoscopy Team.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, industrious, compassionate, shows commitment and strive to maintain the highest standard of care for patients and act as a patient advocate.
The applicant will maintain their own mandatory training, ensure their competencies are kept up to date in accordance with NMC guidelines and Uphold Trust guidelines/protocols.
Maintain confidentiality with patients and colleagues, adhere to Infection Control guidelines and Health and Safety at work , work within their own limitations. able to work as part of a team.
Duties include admitting and discharging patients, work alongside very experienced Endoscopy Nurses in the procedure rooms, trained to competently and independently take charge of a procedure room.
Having excellent communication skills either verbally or written, able to prioritise work load, able to deal with/manage conflict.
