Wholesale Hair Colour Supplies is one of the fastest growing professional hairdressing suppliers in the UK. We supply salons, mobile hairdressers and trade customers across the UK with professional hair colour, bleach, developer, salon supplies and accessories.
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Customer Service / Account Manager to join our friendly team on a part-time basis.
This is a customer-focused role with two main responsibilities. The main priority is to answer customer enquiries in our contact centre - customers contact us by phone, Whatsapp, email, Messenger and more, so the successful applicant(s) will need strong written and verbal communication skills. Most enquiries will be customers wanting to place an order for professional hair products, but we are also asked for assistance with deliveries or to answer questions about the company or products.
The secondary role is as an account manager - the vast majority of the company’s business is from repeat customers, and we want to make sure our customers remain happy. As a predominantly online business it can be difficult to form a relationship with our customers, so the role of the Account Manager is to be the friendly voice that the customer recognises to provide a human point of contact. This aspect of the role involves contacting new and existing customers to offer them access to improved pricing if they place regular orders, identifying the customer’s unique needs, and fulfilling them on a regular basis.
This role would suit someone who enjoys speaking to people, communicates clearly, learns quickly and is comfortable using basic computer systems.
What you will be doing
- Answering customer calls, emails and messages
- Taking customer orders accurately
- Helping customers with product, stock, delivery, and account enquiries
- Contacting customers to discuss key account pricing opportunities
- Explaining the benefits of becoming a key account customer
- Keeping customer records and notes up to date
- Following up with customers where needed
- Working closely with the wider team to provide a helpful and professional service
What we are looking for
- Confident speaking to customers by phone and in writing
- Friendly, professional and enthusiastic
- A quick learner
- Accurate, organised and detail-focused
- Comfortable using computers and basic IT systems
- Able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Reliable and able to work independently once trained
- Positive, proactive and happy to speak to customers
Experience in customer service, sales, account management or the hairdressing industry would be advantageous, but it is not essential as full training will be provided.
