About the Company
'Making Letting Better' is our mission statement, but it's more than just a phrase — it's an ethos and what drives us every day.
Our mission is to disrupt the way the letting industry works, creating technology that revolutionises how letting agents do business and makes the letting process simpler, with fewer obstacles for tenants.
We're an award-winning team, we move fast, and we build things people actually use.
About the Role
Our new consumer product is currently in development. The user experience has been designed and the structure of the product is in place, but it remains open to refinement, and back-end development is underway. A number of the decisions that will define the product, its design and its commercial model are still to be made, and we are looking for the person who will make them.
This is a role with genuine end-to-end ownership. You will be responsible for completing the build, leading the design, setting the commercial strategy, taking the product to market and driving its performance thereafter. In practice, you will run it as your own business unit.
You will work directly with the leadership team, with the autonomy to make meaningful decisions and full accountability for the outcome.
We recruit on the basis of judgement, capability and ambition rather than length of service. Two to three years' experience in product, growth or an early-stage business is desirable, though we will give serious consideration to an outstanding recent graduate who is ready to take on real responsibility from the outset.
What You'll Own
1. Commercial Strategy & Growth
● Own the commercial performance of the product — how it makes money and how that scales
● Define pricing, packaging and positioning
● Build the business case for where we invest next, and defend it
● Track the numbers that matter and act on what they tell you
2. Go-to-Market
● Take the product to market: launch strategy, messaging, channels and audience
● Own acquisition, onboarding, activation and retention end to end
● Test, measure and iterate on what actually drives adoption
● Own the marketing function — strategy, messaging and any freelance or agency resource we engage.
3. Product Ownership, Design & Build
● Own the roadmap — what gets built, in what order, and why
● Be the designer on this product: the UX is there but still moveable, and the flows, screens and interactions are yours to shape
● Coding knowledge is welcome but not essential — an engineer is in place to support technical build requirements
● Keep improving it after launch: release, measure, refine, repeat
● Explore where AI genuinely adds value rather than where it just sounds good
4. Customers & Market
● Stay close to real users — tenants, agents, landlords — and to the market they operate in
● Turn insight into decisions, not just decks
● Understand the competition and where our edge is
● Understand how the product fits into Let Tech’s wider products, customers and strategy — and actively look for opportunities across the business rather than viewing the product in isolation.
5. Partnerships & Ecosystem
● Identify and develop partnerships that create value for users and for the business
● Lead outreach, negotiation and commercial conversations
● Build the ecosystem around the product
What We're Looking For
We're looking for capability and drive above all. 2–3 years' experience in product, commercial, growth or a startup environment is desirable — but an outstanding recent graduate who can show us how they think will absolutely be considered.
- Commercial instinct — you think about revenue, growth and what makes a business work, not just features
- Sharp thinker who can go from a messy problem to a clear decision quickly
- Evidence-driven, comfortable with numbers, but decisive when the data runs out
- Comfortable across the full range of product work — discovery, design, delivery, launch, iterate
- A designer's eye — you'll be doing the design on this product, so you need to enjoy that part, not delegate it
- Able to specify clearly what should be built and to collaborate effectively with our engineer; prior coding experience is an advantage but not a requirement
- Able to make the call when there isn't a clear answer
- Curious about AI and how it genuinely improves everyday experiences
- Self-starting and properly accountable — this role has real autonomy, which only works if you run at it
- Interested in startups, B2C, apps and marketplaces
Evidence beats credentials. If you’ve built something, launched something, run a side project, grown a community, or turned an idea into revenue — however small — tell us about it. That matters more to us than a job title.
What You'll Gain
- Full ownership of a product from build through launch and beyond, and of its commercial outcome
- The autonomy of running your own business unit, with the backing of an established, award-winning team
- Direct collaboration with leadership and visibility into every real decision
- The chance to shape a product, a market and a category — not just a feature set
- Room to grow with the product as it scales
Why This Role Is Different
Most product roles hand you a roadmap and ask you to deliver it.
This one hands you a product that's still being built and asks you to finish it, launch it, and build a business around it.
