Are you an experienced and inspirational Social Work leader looking for an opportunity to make a real difference for children, young people and families?
We are seeking an exceptional Service Manager to lead our Family Support and Intervention Service. This is a key strategic leadership role within our Children, Families and Safeguarding Service, offering the opportunity to shape the future of service delivery, drive innovation and influence positive change across Children's Services.
Working within the principles of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, you will champion strengths-based, relationship-focused practice, ensuring that early intervention, prevention and high-quality safeguarding are at the heart of everything we do. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of services, working collaboratively with partners, communities and families to improve outcomes and ensure children receive the right support at the right time.
The Family Support and Intervention Service brings together our Assessment and Support, Safeguarding and Legal, Strengthening Families, Family Time and Sessional Teams. Together, these services deliver timely assessment, targeted intervention and specialist support to safeguard children, strengthen family resilience and achieve positive, sustainable outcomes. Where required, the service also leads statutory safeguarding and legal proceedings to ensure children's safety and wellbeing remain paramount.
We are looking for a qualified social worker with significant leadership experience, a strong track record of service improvement and a passion for developing high-performing teams. You will be an innovative and collaborative leader, capable of navigating complexity, driving continuous improvement and delivering high-quality services within an evolving environment.
In return, you will join an ambitious and supportive leadership team committed to improving outcomes for children and families across Conwy. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategic direction, shape practice and lead innovation across a diverse range of services, helping to ensure children, young people and families receive the highest quality support when they need it most.
Potential interview date on 31st July 2026, this will be confirmed in due course.
