We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen assistants, to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences while maintaining consistency and profitability
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet the establishment’s standards of excellence
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
- Train and mentor staff to develop their skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to uphold standards of hygiene, safety, and hospitality
- Participate in hiring processes and performance reviews for kitchen personnel
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment, ideally as a Head Chef or Sous Chef with leadership responsibilities
- Extensive background in food production, culinary techniques, and restaurant operations
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Demonstrated expertise in menu development, food presentation, and cooking excellence
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- A passion for culinary innovation coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences
Pay: £27,431.76-£49,085.21 per year
