Mechanical Fitter – HS2 Old Oak Common Project
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team on the HS2 Old Oak Common Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of Victaulic and Mapress pipework systems, as well as ductwork installations, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Install Victaulic and Mapress pipework systems in accordance with project requirements.

Carry out ductwork installation activities to approved drawings and standards.

Install mechanical plantroom equipment and associated pipework.

Ensure all installations are completed safely and in line with site procedures and industry standards.

Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to deliver project milestones.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area at all times.
Requirements
-
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within construction, building services, or infrastructure projects.

Experience installing Victaulic and Mapress pipework systems.

Experience with ductwork installation and mechanical plantroom installations.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.

JIB/ECS/CSCS card (or relevant site certification) preferred.

Previous experience on major infrastructure or rail projects is advantageous.

About the Anthro JV:
The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.
