Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our expanding production team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, shipping and receiving, and stock control. This position requires attention to detail, computer literacy, and physical stamina, as well as a commitment to quality control and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack items for shipment according to order specifications.
- Maintain an organised warehouse environment, embracing our 'clean as you go' policy and managing inventory levels.
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Utilise the Warehouse Management System (Odoo) for tracking stock movements and inventory management.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with company standards.
- General Factory Duties - assisting with production team members as and when required in order to achieve daily operational goals.
Skills
- Forklift Licenses essential (Bendi, Counter Balance)
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
- Strong skills in materials handling, ensuring products are stored correctly.
- Mechanical knowledge in operating warehouse equipment effectively.
- Excellent teamwork skills
