Job Overview
We are looking for another kind, caring, responsible and experienced member of staff to join our existing dedicated team as a Kennel Assistant, where your enthusiasm and compassion will play a vital role in caring for our private dogs and puppies. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the well-being of our Dobermanns, labradors and dachshunds and their puppies while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kennel area. We require a proactive attitude and attention to detail in the daily routine of cleaining our kennels, poo picking play paddocks, disinfecting puppy areas and walking and training of our dogs on our private estate. Overtime is also available on busier days and weekends due to client meets and training days. Its important the condidate show kindness, patience and initiative whilst working with our animals and be able to read canine beahviour and be a good pack leader when working with our larger dogs. Training in all management, care and handling will be provided and an opportunity to learn and progress in different areas of care, breeding, training and behaviour.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily kennel cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance to ensure a hygienic environment for all dogs.
- Daily exercising, training and walking of dogs and socialisation of puppies.
- Previous kennel experience or familiarity with larger breeds is essential
- Working breed experience is a plus, especially related to Dobermanns
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- An understanding this is physical role in all seasons
- Genuine passion for animal welfare and eagerness to learn about our dogs
- Reliable, detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Equine experience a bonus as can also incorporate some horse care into the role.

Quarterly and performance based bonus scheme in place. Candidate will very much be welcomed and supported into our family provided they are reliable and hard working and able to offer a high level of care to our dogs and puppies. We expect high standards of cleaning, care and relability.
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
