Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and capable Maintenance & Decorating Operative to join our on-site team. The role is hands-on and varied, covering day-to-day upkeep of the building, minor repairs, small works, and refurbishment/decorating tasks. Ideal for someone with solid practical experience who is happy to get stuck in and take ownership of the building’s presentation and basic maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general repairs across the building (e.g., fixing doors, handles, hinges, basic plumbing issues, patch repairs).
- Responsible for decorating works including painting, prepping and the like
- Assist with small internal layout changes (moving furniture, minor installer support, basic carpentry tasks).
- Conduct basic checks and routine maintenance (e.g., lighting checks, filters, signage, touch-ups).
- Support external contractors on-site where needed (let-ins, guidance, basic oversight).
- Maintain tools, equipment and ensure work areas are kept tidy and safe.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure building presentation standards are consistently high.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous hands-on experience in a property/maintenance/decorating role.
- Competent with painting and finishing work to a good, clean standard.
- Able to use basic tools and equipment safely and confidently.
- Practical understanding of small repairs: patch plastering, filling, basic plumbing fixes, basic carpentry.
- Comfortable working independently and organising your own workload.
- Eye for detail and pride in finishing work properly.
- Friendly and professional when interacting with tenants / building users.

- Basic health & safety awareness

- Experience in serviced offices / commercial buildings environment

Salary: £30,000- £35,000
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
