Barclay LED Solutions Ltd is looking for reliable General Operatives / Labourers to support UK and overseas construction, electrical and refurbishment projects.
We are looking for practical, hard-working individuals who can support skilled trades and work as part of a small project team.
Positions may initially be project-based or fixed-term, with the potential for further UK and overseas opportunities depending on workload and performance.
Typical duties
- Assisting electricians and other skilled trades
- Moving and distributing materials
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Site setup and housekeeping
- Assisting with containment and cabling
- Basic construction and installation tasks
- Waste removal
- General refurbishment works
- Keeping work areas organised and safe
Requirements
- Previous construction or site experience preferred
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Willing to work away for extended periods
- Good practical ability
- Full UK driving licence preferred
CSCS, IPAF, PASMA or other construction tickets would be advantageous but are not essential for every position.
For employees and operatives deployed on overseas projects, the package may include:
- Flights and project travel costs covered
- Accommodation provided
- Food allowance / subsistence provided while overseas
- Local transport provided where required
- Paid travel time where applicable
- Completion incentive for successfully completing the agreed overseas rotation
- Potential additional incentives for repeat deployments and strong performance
- Opportunities to work on a variety of UK and overseas defence and infrastructure projects
- Potential for ongoing UK work between overseas projects, subject to workload
- All necessary project mobilisation, security and travel arrangements coordinated by Barclay LED Solutions Ltd
Overseas assignments will be agreed on a project-by-project basis, including the expected rotation, working pattern and applicable allowances before mobilisation.
IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS, First Aid and previous defence or overseas experience would be advantageous.
Security Requirements
Applicants must be able to meet BPSS and any additional project-specific security and overseas entry requirements.
Security suitability will be checked at the initial screening stage before candidates progress further.
