Manav Yoga is a classical yoga studio based at Forgewood Community Centre in Crawley, West Sussex, rooted in authentic Himalayan tradition. We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Hatha Yoga Teacher to join our team — someone grounded in genuine practice who can guide students of all levels with clarity, warmth, and precision.
The ideal candidate creates a welcoming space for every student, teaches with strong attention to alignment and safety, and genuinely cares about helping people improve their physical and mental well-being.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging, well-structured classes suited to all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
- Teach proper technique, alignment, and the benefits behind each pose, drawing on a sound understanding of anatomy.
- Plan balanced sequences that combine physical practice with breath and mindfulness.
- Offer clear modifications and adjustments for individual abilities and limitations.
- Build a supportive, encouraging community where students feel motivated to deepen their practice.
- Keep the studio space clean and well-organised before and after each class.
- Continue developing your own practice and teaching, staying current with developments in yoga and wellness.
Schedule
Monday to Friday: 9:30–10:30 AM & 6:30–7:30 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 10:00–11:00 AM
Requirements
- Minimum 200-hour certified yoga teacher training (essential).
- At least 2 years of teaching experience as a yoga instructor.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy as it relates to yoga practice.
- Solid grounding in Hatha yoga, with openness to learning and teaching other styles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse groups.
- A genuine passion for health, wellness, and helping others reach their goals through yoga.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Valid insurance (or willingness to obtain) and an enhanced DBS check, as classes may involve vulnerable adults.
- Experience in sports coaching or related fields is an advantage.
Pay: From £25.00 per hour
