Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work with various tools and materials.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes as necessary.
- Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colours and finishes.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and adherence to safety standards.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make any necessary touch-ups.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while working on-site.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for understanding equipment operation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the preparation and painting processes.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finishing techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
