Job Summary
Due to an increase in business we are looking for Class 1 Drivers to fulfil new and existing contracts in England & Ireland. Owing to the nature of the work, this role will involve overnights for which an allowance will be paid. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class 1 driving licence and have at least 2 years experience driving HGV's. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of the Company's finished product, raw materials and fulfilling third party contracts.
Duties
- Delivery and collection of goods as per Company requirements.
- Carry out and record daily walk around checks of the vehicle and trailer to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
- Organise the loading and unloading of cargo, securing it properly for transit.
- Maintain paperwork as per Company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence, Digi-card and up to date CPC.
- HGV driving experience.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent time management skills and reliability in meeting delivery schedules.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the job.
