Overview
We are seeking 2 dedicated and experienced Production Team Leaders to oversee daily operations within our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality output. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food production and leadership to contribute to a dynamic team committed to excellence and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team to meet operational targets.
- Ensure all food safety protocols are strictly adhered to throughout the production process.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in training new staff members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and production areas to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Maintain accurate production records and report on key performance indicators.
- Support the mechanical maintenance of equipment as needed, utilising basic mechanical knowledge.
Skills
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or food manufacturing environment is essential
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to maintaining and troubleshooting production machinery.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and process adherence.
- Good communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Have a great focus on People, Product, Plan and Plant.
- People Management : 1 year (preferred)
