Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Bar Steward/Bar Stewardess to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, assisting with serving drinks, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Assist bartenders with preparing and serving beverages in accordance with health and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene protocols
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during service hours
- Support in setting up the bar before opening and closing procedures afterwards
- Greet guests courteously and provide assistance as required
- Manage basic maths calculations for bills and transactions accurately
- Uphold high standards of hospitality by delivering friendly and efficient service
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in serving or working behind a bar is preferred but not mandatory
- Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities are essential
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional attitude towards guests and team members
