Salary: £50,000 - £53,000 DOE + 5% SLA Bonus + £5,700 Car Allowance/Company Car + Annual Bonus
Hours: 40 Hours per Week

The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Regional Facilities Manager to join a leading Facilities Management business, supporting one of its major UK retail clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a regional portfolio, leading a team of mobile engineers while ensuring the highest standards of planned and reactive maintenance across multiple retail sites. You'll play a key role in driving operational performance, developing your team and maintaining excellent client relationships.

The Role
As the Regional Facilities Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a team of mobile engineers across the Home Counties and Surrey, ensuring all planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and statutory compliance activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with agreed service levels.
You'll work closely with both your engineering team and key client stakeholders to maintain exceptional service standards while identifying opportunities to improve performance and grow the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of mobile maintenance engineers across your region
- Ensure delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance in line with SLAs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Monitor KPIs, identify areas for improvement and implement action plans where required
- Carry out compliance audits and ensure statutory obligations are consistently met
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and coaching to engineers
- Ensure engineers have the correct tools, equipment and training to perform their roles safely and effectively
- Support the Divisional Operations Manager with operational, technical and people management matters
- Provide operational cover for the Divisional Operations Manager when required
- Promote continuous improvement across processes, compliance and service delivery
Financial Responsibilities
- Manage regional budgets and control expenditure effectively
- Ensure financial approvals comply with company spending authority
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through additional works and service improvements
- Support the development of capital projects alongside the customer and senior management
People Management
You'll have full responsibility for leading and developing your engineering team, including:
- Recruitment, onboarding and induction
- Performance management and annual appraisals
- Training, development and compliance
- Managing absence, return-to-work interviews and wellbeing
- Supporting employee engagement and development
- Handling conduct and capability matters in line with company policy
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience managing engineering teams within a Hard FM environment
- Strong understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and statutory compliance
- Experience working within a multi-site retail FM environment
- Proven ability to build strong client relationships and lead operational performance
- Experience using CAFM systems and producing performance reports
- Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3, SVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation, Maintenance or Building Services
- Technical qualifications within HVAC, Refrigeration or Plumbing
- Membership of CIBSE, IWFM (formerly BIFM) or a similar professional body
