Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care

Salary: Up to £59,802 per annum + £5000 welcome bonus

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead two small, specialist, Ofsted-registered children's residential homes in Kirkby Stephen.
This is an opportunity to join an organisation that takes a relationship-led approach to care, with a strong focus on helping children achieve positive and lasting change.
The homes provide 2:1, relationship-based care, with structured shifts and a full-year rota, allowing you to focus on the quality of care, safeguarding and development of the children and the team.
What You Can Expect
You will have access to a strong network of operational and specialist support, including:
- An experienced Operations Manager providing day-to-day support
- Assistant Managers within the homes
- Dedicated HR, recruitment and compliance support
- Learning and development support, including assistance with Level 3 qualifications
- A Quality and Safeguarding Team providing practical guidance and advice
- A dedicated Referrals Team focused on appropriate, needs-led matching of children to homes
- An experienced mentor to support you in your role
- A structured 90-day induction programme
- Immediate enrolment onto a Level 5 qualification, where required

About You
We are looking for a resilient, compassionate and relationship-focused leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
You may have a background in:
- Children's residential care
- Social work
- Education
- Youth justice
- Secure care
- Mental health services
- Another relevant children's or care setting
You should have:
- A strong understanding of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) and relevant children's social care regulations
- A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Services, or equivalent
- A Level 5 qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience of leading and supporting teams within a care or children's services environment
- A resilient, adaptable and relationship-based leadership approach
- A full UK driving licence
