Purpose of the Role
Lead a production team within the moulding department to deliver the plan safely, on time, and to specification in our manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate people and tasks to meet the daily production plan and priorities
- To ensure all IPG policies & procedures are implemented and followed
- Manage team absence and holidays to meet production plan
- Control area performance: output, quality, safety, housekeeping, and downtime
- Ensure work instructions and specifications are understood and followed
- Provide coaching, feedback, and on-the-job training; support competence development
- Escalate constraints (materials, labour, equipment, quality) and propose solutions
- Support continuous improvement and standardisation activities
Decision Making & Authority
- Decides task sequencing within the plan and reallocates labour within the area
- Stops production for safety or serious quality risk; escalates appropriately
