Job Summary

Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks for local or regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, secure, and unload cargo with precision, ensuring items are transported without damage
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimize efficiency and meet scheduled delivery times
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation in compliance with company policies
- Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, demonstrating a proactive approach to team support
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with flatbed trucks or similar vehicles
- Strong understanding of safe driving practices and traffic regulations
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability
- Delivery driver experience with a track record of punctuality and professionalism
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo efficiently
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Knowledge of route planning tools or GPS systems is a plus
