Northgate Healthcare is looking for a caring, compassionate and reliable Day Care Assistant to join our team at The Firs Care Home.
As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our residents with their day-to-day needs while promoting their independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and wants to make a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care.

Your role
As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting residents with their daily routines and helping them maintain as much independence as possible
- Providing personal care when required, including bathing, dressing, toileting and support with eating and drinking
- Supporting residents' emotional wellbeing and providing companionship
- Promoting the privacy, dignity, independence and choices of every resident
- Supporting the planning and delivery of individual care plans
- Participating in care reviews and contributing to discussions about residents' needs
- Taking part in the key worker system
- Accompanying residents to appointments, hospital visits, shopping trips and outings when required
- Observing and reporting any changes in residents' health or wellbeing
- Reporting any concerns regarding residents' safety or welfare to the appropriate senior member of staff
- Attending training sessions and team meetings to support your ongoing development
- Carrying out other reasonable duties that help promote the comfort, safety and wellbeing of our residents
