Job Summary
A welcoming secondary school is seeking a caring, reliable and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student who uses a wheelchair. Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student within lessons and around the school.
- Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in school life.
- Support the student's mobility and ensure they can safely navigate the school environment.
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and wider support staff to meet the student's individual needs.
- Encourage independence, confidence and social interaction where appropriate.
- Help adapt learning resources and activities to support engagement.
- Promote the student's safety, dignity and wellbeing at all times.
- Follow the school's safeguarding, health and safety, and SEND procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker or in a similar role is desirable.
- A patient, compassionate and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.

Pay: £115.00-£130.00 per day
Experience:
- Learning Support: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- DBS on the Update Service (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
