Deputy Care Manager – Domiciliary & Live-in Care
Location: Office based in Bury St Edmunds (hybrid working available)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Deputy Care Manager to support the delivery of high-quality domiciliary and live-in care services.

Role Overview
As Deputy Care Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care is delivered at all times.
You will play a key role in staff supervision, compliance, and maintaining high standards across both domiciliary and live-in care packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of care staff, including induction, supervision, competency checks, and spot checks
- Assist with care planning, reviews, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies
- Participate in on-call duties as required, including handling emergency calls
- Assist with care calls when needed
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff
- Provide training and guidance to care staff
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Liaise with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Attend meetings as required
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is consistently delivered
- Report directly to the Registered Manager
Requirements
- Previous experience in a senior care or supervisory role
- Experience in domiciliary and/or live-in care
- Strong knowledge of care standards and regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work flexibly and support the on-call rota
