Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care coordinator to join our healthcare team for part time . The ideal candidate will oversee the residents care of the organization by managing and supporting staff, promote the safeguarding of client’s welfare and ensure that a stable and safe environment is provided in line with legislation, contractual and company requirements.
This is a part time role of 20 hours per week
Working days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9 am to 4 pm
What does the role involve?
· Coach, support and develop staff including supervision, to maximize their performance and ensure high standards of care, values, and ethical standards, in compliance with equality and diversity, policies and procedures, legislation, contractual and inspection frameworks
· Demonstrate to clients through pro-social modelling, the value of education and care, and the ability to develop skills and change their behaviour, will support reaching their full potential
· Form trusting, respectful, boundaries, professional relationships with clients in order that they respond and react appropriately to information and guidance
· Ensure own and, when appropriate, other’s actions reduce risks to health and safety in compliance with statutory legislation and company policy.
· Assist in the promotion of creating a positive Health & Safety culture to achieve and maintain appropriate external recognition
· The activities offered are stimulating, varied, and fulfilling and are offered in an appropriate and respectful manner which have been personalized to the residents within our home
· To gather views and feedback from residents on activities, be able to show that activities in the home are built from these and that they cover a variety of themes including Community, Cognitive, Cultural, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, Physical and Vocational activities
· Actively building on and supporting the home with their social media channels as required in line with our policies.
· You will plan, seek and document continuous feedback from the residents and make adjustments to activities and events as required
· Links and relationships with the local community are grown and actively encouraged
· To be responsible for and participate in the recruitment, training, competency, on boarding, on the job training and supervision process in line with company policies for all staff and any conflicts of interest plans are in place for your team.
· Lead by example by understanding, signposting and supporting your team with their health and wellbeing including developing your team through holding career conversations, regular supervisions, appraisals and wellbeing meetings.
· Support the Home Manager by co-ordinating the resolution of home complaints and issues with residents, staff and external stakeholders in line with policy and service delivery values
· Working with the Home Manager to understand how their role can support the delivery of our Quality Assurance Programmes and systems.
· Support the Home Manager to ensure non-clinical audits are completed as required across the site and resulting action plans are completed, communicated and delivered in a timely manner. Identifying trends, themes and providing feedback to operational team managers, through regular meetings.
· Being on call as and when needed
Your qualities
- Good basic education, QCF Level 4/5 Diploma or willing to work towards achieving this
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in similar or senior role in a care home
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislative requirements
- Effective communication skills
- Self-motivated and organized
- An active team player and able to work on own initiative under supervision or to lead others
- A flexible approach to working patterns and care
Willingness to undergo further extensive training to improve knowledge and care standards within the home.

Joseph Nursing and Care Home is a beautiful brand new nursing and residential care home in the sunny seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea in North Essex.
Just set back from the main esplanade, Joseph Nursing and Care Home is set in a sleepy suburban tree-lined road, away from the hustle and bustle of this lovely town, but only a few minutes’ walk, if you want to take in some of the seaside fun.
The Home has 16 individual bedrooms, most with walk-in wet rooms/private bathrooms, decorated to the highest standard, and beautiful in design. The Ground Floor is tailored more for specific nursing needs, whilst upstairs can be for nursing needs, but also boasts some beautiful large bay-windowed rooms, for those who enjoy their own company, and are geared towards the elderly residential Residents.
