Support Workers – Kirby Cross - Days and Waking Nights - £14.00ph
Salary:
- Full Time: £27,300 per annum
- Part Time Waking Nights: £19,656 per annum
Hours Available:
- Full Time (37.5 hours per week) – Days (covering weekdays and weekends, every other weekend)
- Part Time Waking Nights (27 hours per week) – 3 nights per week (9-hour shifts, 22:00 – 07:00)
We are recruiting for multiple Support Worker positions to support a gentleman with autism in his own home in Essex (Kirby Cross).
About the Role
You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to a gentleman who values respect, dignity, and meaningful engagement. This role involves assisting him with daily living, promoting his independence, and ensuring he feels safe and supported at all times.
The gentleman enjoys a variety of activities including:
- Swimming, cycling and walking (Kirby Cross role)
Whether working days or waking nights, you will play a vital role in his life, helping him access the community and pursue his interests.
Key Requirements
- Essential: Experience supporting people with autism
- Highly desirable: Previous experience with trauma-informed care
- Calm, patient, and understanding approach
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for care
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- For full-time day roles: Full UK driving licence is preferred however non-drivers are still welcome to apply
- Non-drivers are welcome to apply for waking night positions
