The Duke of Gordon Hotel is a family owned hotel accommodating up to 120 guests in 68 bedrooms. We offer functions, weddings and conferences alongside our restaurant and bar operations. The hotel is located in the Cairngorm National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and is a very popular destination choice for golf, walking and cycling. We welcome guests from around the UK, Europe and the Americas. As well as individual guests the hotel welcomes coach groups throughout the year.
You will work closely with management ensuring high standards are met at all times. You will also work closely with the rest of the bar team to maintain and improve standards. Your main duties will be to;
- Greet guests in a timely and friendly manner whether they are resident in the hotel or non-resident
- Serve quality drinks within the 3 hotel bars and the restaurant and serve bar meals within the lounge bar & Distil Bar.
- Ensure that the bar and working area are kept in good condition and a high level of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained
- Accurately account for transactions through till checks and end of day cashing up procedures
The successful candidate must be friendly, approachable and must be able to work will within a team. You should have a knowledge of drinks and have an interest in working within the hospitality industry.
