Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-orientated and organized individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant. This will be based in our Fallowfield Office.
As a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for analysing bank statements for Limited and Self-Assessment accounts. Overseeing the compliance of all aspects of submissions to Companies House. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, tax calc and payroll software.
Ideal skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel & Word
- Experience in handling general bookkeeping and bank reconciliation
- Experience in dealing with all Company secretarial matters on Companies House, including confirmation statements and submitting on-line balance sheets
- Experience in preparing and submitting Self-Assessment Tax Returns on line and awareness of tax digital.
- Knowledge of PAYE and processing payroll & CIS
- Excellent telephone skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to multi task and manage own workload to tight deadlines
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
- AAT qualified or part qualified
- Proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting role
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks & Tax Calc
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Confident, friendly non-judgemental approach
- Positive can do and flexible attitude and willing to help out in a small team
- Languages: Fluent English both written and spoken
