THE COMPANY
Fowlers of Bristol (Engineers) Ltd is a well-established Bristol based manufacturing firm which produces high quality, sheet metal & precision engineered products predominantly for the Aerospace, Defence and Nuclear industries. We employ approx. 29 staff and operate a single day shift with occasional overtime.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Working primarily in the Despatch section as part of a small team, driving the company van and other duties associated with the despatch and stores area (preparing and packing parts ready for shipment).
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Driving company vehicles and delivering product whilst maintaining the highest quality possible
· Packing & Labelling Product for Despatch in line with packing specifications
· Forklift driver to unloading/loading lorries (sheet materials and pallets); also assisting in other areas of the factory.
· Liaising with the Master Production Scheduler to meet company targets.
· Checking Stores for low stock consumable items
· Support the company with any other associated tasks.
THE PERSON
The ideal person will have;
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Clean Driving License
- Counter Balance Licence
- Good customer focussing skills and abilities (eg. polite, helpful, etc…) when representing the company
- GCSE Maths & English - Grade C (or equivalent)
- Knowledge and experience using booking systems
- Flexibility to be able to be useful, where required anywhere within the company.
- Suitable skills with Microsoft Word/Excel to assist
THE PACKAGE
Rate: £13.00 to £14.40 per hour (depending on skills, capability and experience)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week between the following times; Mon to Thurs = 7.15 to 16.00, Fri = 7.15 to 12.00.
* Flexible Working – Start times can be set based on employee preference to suit travel and childcare arrangements. The factory typically opens at 5.15am each day so a start time in increments of 15 mins can be requested from 5.15am through to 7.15am. Finish times adjusted accordingly.
Full Time Position, overtime may be required as the job demands, any additional hours will be paid at the following rates; 1.33 x hourly rate for first 4 hours, 1.5 x hourly rate for any overtime worked after the first 4 hours.
Holidays: 26 days holiday pay + statutory days (pro-rata based on a 37.5 hour working week).
Bonus: Sales Bonus which ranges between £5 to £50 per week depending on company performance (eligible after probationary period)
Probationary Period: 3 Months
