Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Appointed Person to oversee safety and operational procedures within our industrial environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards, coordinating lifting operations, and maintaining effective communication across teams. Electrical experience is highly desirable to support the technical aspects of the role. Duties
- Oversee lifting operations and ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with site managers, operators, and contractors to facilitate safe lifting procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of lifting equipment and ensure maintenance records are up to date.
- Assist in planning and executing complex lifts, including assessing risks and implementing control measures.
- Maintain clear documentation of all lifting activities, incidents, and safety checks.
- Support electrical systems management where applicable, leveraging electrical experience to troubleshoot or advise on technical issues.
- Ensure all personnel involved in lifting operations are adequately trained and briefed on safety protocols.
- Liaise with emergency services or external inspectors as required during audits or incidents.
Skills
- Proven experience in a similar role within an industrial or construction environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Electrical experience is highly desirable to support technical assessments and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to lifting operations and electrical systems.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.

Pay: £22.00-£23.00 per hour
