Job Overview:
Mitie is looking for a Logistics security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.
It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided)
Vetting
It is vital that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history, failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.
Main duties:
- To deliver industry leading customer service

To conduct patrols of the depot

To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors

Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss

Liaise with the depot management teams

To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices

To conduct Searches (to be discussed at interview)

To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager

To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime

Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed

Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview)

Must have reasonable level of PC skills
