SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms in order to provide a pleasant and comfortable experience for the guest. They ensure that all rooms are inviting and clean and they address all guest queries politely and knowledgeably.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Clean assigned guest rooms according to standards. Specific duties include, however are not limited to, changing bed linens, making beds, dusting everywhere, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, changing the towels, removing all garbage, replenish guest amenities, placing furniture back to its original position and deep cleaning.
-Actively participates in Department-specific initiatives, working towards sustainable operations or even busy operations.
-Reporting any room or public areas damages or breakages to supervisors or Manager. Keeping the public areas, laundry rooms etc. clean and tidy.
- Works cooperatively as an active member of the Housekeeping team towards ensuring safe work practices are adhered to at all times.
-Complies with all established department and company policies, health and safety trainings, risk assessment procedures and code of ethics
-Performs other tasks, as assigned by management, being flexible on schedules, and being able to multi task within the department.
-Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service levels at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience an asset.
-Proven self-motivation, ability to work well with minimum supervision
-Excellent guest service skills.
-Excellent in organization, time management
-Must have a high level of attention to detail
-work well within a diverse team environment.
-Flexible availability: Including evenings, early mornings, week-ends and statutory holidays
-Must be able to embrace the organization’s core values.
-Ability to be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgement.
-Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel/airport data.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
-Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the shift
-Ability to lift and carry 0-20 pounds on a regular basis, though out the shift.
-Must able to push and pull trolley/cart/cages and equipment of various sizes and weight in compliance with health and safety standards.
-Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfil cleaning tasks.
-Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

ELIGIBILITY
- In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
- CRB check will be required.
- Full background check is required to work at the airport.
