Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, adhering to company standards.
- Take orders accurately from customers and relay them efficiently to the kitchen or barista station.
- Serve food and beverages in a courteous and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including counters, tables, and seating areas.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answer queries about menu items, and promote specials or new products.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in setting up the dining area before service hours and clearing after closing.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation.
Skills
- Previous experience as a barista or waitress is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Organised with strong multitasking abilities in a busy environment.
- Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if required.
- A positive attitude with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
