Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Labourer/Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating trucks to transport materials and equipment to various job sites while also assisting with general labour tasks on-site. Your proactive attitude and attention to safety will ensure smooth operations, timely deliveries, and a productive work environment. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks to deliver materials, equipment, and supplies to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload materials using appropriate tools and equipment, ensuring proper handling and storage
- Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and other labour tasks as needed to support project progress
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and safety documentation
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries on-site or during transportation
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate schedules and deliveries
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory
- Proven experience operating tipper trucks an advantage, but training can be provided
- Ability to perform physical labour including lifting heavy loads, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to transportation and construction sites
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
