Workshop Assistant / Driver (Part-Time)
Location: Hyde, Greater Manchester (SK14)Hours: Part-time – approximately 20 hours per week (with potential for additional hours as the business grows)Pay: Competitive, depending on experience
About Us
Wilkinson & Sellars is a growing manufacturer of high-end bespoke kitchens, wardrobes and fitted furniture. We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship, attention to detail and excellent customer service.
We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Workshop Assistant / Driver to become an important part of our small team.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are the same.
Your duties will include:
- Delivering and collecting furniture and materials using the company van.
- Wrapping and preparing finished furniture for delivery.
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely.
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised and efficient.
- Assisting the joinery team with general workshop tasks.
- Checking deliveries and organising stock.
- Helping ensure every job leaves the workshop in perfect condition.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Aged 30 or over (due to company vehicle insurance requirements).
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Physically fit and happy with manual work.
- A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
Desirable:
- Experience in a workshop, warehouse, manufacturing or joinery environment.
- Forklift experience (not essential).
