The Proud Project is seeking an experienced Studio Director to lead our flagship Chiswick studio.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall performance of the studio, including commercial success, member experience, team leadership and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will act as the day-to-day leader of the business, ensuring the studio continues to deliver an exceptional client experience whilst driving sustainable growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Performance
* Own studio revenue performance and key business metrics
* Monitor membership growth, retention and utilisation
* Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
* Support the delivery of sales, membership and retention initiatives
* Develop local partnerships and business development opportunities
* Manage budgets and operational expenditure
People Leadership
* Lead and manage the front-of-house, trainer and management teams
* Drive a positive, high-performance culture
* Conduct regular one-to-ones and performance reviews
* Support recruitment, onboarding and development of team members
* Ensure accountability across all departments
Operations
* Oversee day-to-day studio operations
* Ensure all systems and processes are followed consistently
* Manage rotas, staffing and resource planning
* Maintain studio standards and presentation
* Oversee health and safety compliance
Member Experience
* Champion exceptional
customer experience throughout the member journey
* Handle escalated member concerns and feedback
* Drive member engagement and community initiatives
* Monitor service standards and identify areas for improvement
Marketing & Community
* Work closely with marketing teams to execute campaigns locally
* Support content creation and community engagement
* Deliver events, workshops and partnerships that strengthen the Proud brand
* Act as a visible ambassador for the business
Reporting & Performance
* Produce weekly and monthly performance reports
* Track KPIs across revenue, utilisation, retention and staffing
* Present performance updates to the Board
* Support strategic planning and business development initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience managing a multi-functional team
* Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
* Experience within fitness, wellness, hospitality or premium service businesses
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Strong organisational and operational management capabilities
* Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
* A passion for creating exceptional customer experiences
* Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of results
Success in the Role
The Studio Director will be responsible for ensuring the Chiswick studio operates successfully as a standalone business, maintaining strong member retention, team engagement, operational excellence and commercial performance whilst upholding The Proud Project’s values and culture.
Salary
Competitive, dependent on experience, with performance-based incentives available.
Pay: From £48,000.00 per year
