This is not a standard team leader role. It is a genuine opportunity to take ownership of an entire region — to build it from a strong existing base, grow a team around you and become the driving force behind Balfor's South West expansion.

You will come in billing. You will leave leading. This role is designed for someone with the ambition to do both at the same time.

What You Will Do
From day one you will be given a real desk with real opportunity. As the South West region grows your role will evolve:
- Build your desk — develop and expand a profitable education recruitment desk across the South West
- Drive revenue — deliver consistent gross margin performance in line with Balfor's expectations
- Develop client relationships — build strong lasting partnerships with schools, academies and education providers
- Lead a growing team — recruit, mentor and develop consultants as the region scales
- Shape the division — have genuine input into how the South West operation grows and operates
- Work flexibly — benefit from hybrid working with real autonomy over how you structure your week
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Proven billing track record — minimum £150,000 gross margin per year in education recruitment
- Education sector experience — supply teaching, education support or SEND staffing
- Business development skills — a history of winning and retaining clients
- Leadership ambition — the drive to build and manage a high-performing team
- Professionalism and integrity — you will represent Balfor's brand with every interaction
Advantageous:
- Existing South West network of schools or education clients in the region
- Mentoring experience — experience developing junior consultants or managing a small team
- Framework knowledge — familiarity with the GCA Framework or similar public sector agreements
