Work could be available on an going basis although initially for 3 months no guarantees and the contract will be reviewed
Please note: Although a FLT licence is essential for this role, the majority of work is manual work in the Process Plant.. You will not be on a FLT all day or working within a yard!
Our Healing based client has a vacancy for a general process operatives at their modern manufacturing facility.
The role will involve working a "4 on, 4 off" shift system of Days and Nights rotating. With additional time off after 3 rotationsa
Shift times are 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am.(12hrs)
Hourly rate is £15.86 for the first 12 weeks, rising to £17.09 per hour for days and nights
- Work safely and to the procedures of a busy process plant.
- Intermittent use of FLT truck / Pallet Trucks to move pallets of finished goods
- Making small cardboard boxes ready for filling with product
- Filling small cardboard boxes with product using an a tamping unit (operating a lever to make the ram go up and down to achieve 20kg in each box)
- Stacking 20kg boxes onto a pallet (30 per pallet) using a vacuum box lifter (lifting aid)
- Using a manual strapping gun to strap large bags of fibre to pallets ready for storage
- Housekeeping – area must be kept clean and tidy
- Making and breaking down large cardboard boxes
Job Type: Full-time
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £15.86-£17.09 per hour
