We're hiring an Operations & Customer Support Officer to join our Suffolk-based head office, working on the National Disability Card & Carers Card scheme. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone warm, well organised and careful with detail, who enjoys speaking with people and takes pride in getting things right.
You'll be a first point of contact for our cardholders and carers, handling enquiries by phone and email with patience and empathy, and supporting the day-to-day administration that keeps the scheme running smoothly from our Woodbridge office.
What you'll be doing:
- Handling customer enquiries by phone and email in a professional and empathetic manner
- Supporting day-to-day operational administration, including accurate record-keeping, processing of applications, refunds and amendments
- Assisting with card production, printing and post-out using in-house equipment
- Maintaining accurate data within internal systems and contributing to data quality
- Supporting GDPR compliance and the safe handling of personal and sensitive data
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of customer experience and service delivery
What we're looking for:
- Clear, friendly written and spoken communication
- Accuracy and care with detail, records and personal data
- Comfort juggling varied tasks in a small, busy team
- A helpful, can-do attitude; full training is provided
The role is office-based at Deben Mill Business Centre, Melton, Woodbridge, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, with participation in a shared Saturday morning rota (approximately one in three, 9:00am to 12 noon). Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
About us: The National Disability Card & Carers Card scheme provides ID cards that help people with disabilities, and those who care for them, evidence their status simply and with dignity. You'd be joining a small, friendly team doing genuinely worthwhile work.
