Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated artisan bakery to join our nightshift/early morning dough mixing team. Due to expansion we have this exciting role available, you will work alongside our bakers by mixing our award winning sourdough. Your attention to detail is critical and knowledge of food safety will contribute to the success of our bakery.
The shift runs from Sunday Night to Thursday Night.
start time 10:00pm finish around 0600am.
This is a fast paced and very energetic role, we produce over 12,000 loaves per week by hand. This role involves producing a lot of dough, being fit and able to lift at a pace is key
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, production and packing of various baked goods, including sourdough and rye breads.
- Operate various baking equipment.
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to specification
- Packing of finished products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a bakery is preferred but not essential
- Familiarity with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) principles
- Understanding of food safety regulations and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
