Senior Manager, Commercial & Partnerships

The Senior Manager, Commercial & Partnerships leads the charge on business development, with a core remit to increase revenue and share performance across a defined remit.
Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial partnerships efforts across defined regions and brands, taking sole responsibility for budgets and forecasting
- Grow revenue by identifying and securing partnership revenue across relevant brands and agencies
- Manage established, and drive new client and agency relationships at senior level across relevant categories to the portfolio
- Set and deliver against a strategy to deliver high performance across defined regions and brands, presenting strategic documents and plans on a twice yearly basis
- Set the standard for prospecting and pitching and support others in meeting these standards; mature, well paced and articulate presentation skills, and considered, structured prospecting
- Set the standard for brief interrogation and support others in meeting these standards
- Have superior product knowledge of every part of our portfolio of brands
- Articulate the benefits of our partnership offering, acting as a key conduit in bringing expertise from around the business, both commercial and editorial, to complimentary brand partners
- Manage pipeline for defined brands and regions and provide accurate budgets and forecasts, and proactively managing and addressing risk
- Be an integral and senior part of the commercial team and lead on team, territory and brand strategies in conjunction with AVP, Commercial & Partnerships
- Initiate and represent the Company at key/appropriate events, client entertaining and presentations and lead the team to deliver them
- Initiate and execute b2b marketing/profile raising activities such as entering industry awards
- Maintain and constantly improve market and brand insight, proactively seeking out market news and intelligence
- Ensure accurate reporting through use of all of business CRM, booking and reporting systems
- Line manage Associate Managers, acting as a mentor and supporting them to deliver exceptional performance.
- Lead on finance queries and manage credit control issues with clients and agencies as required
- Proactively propose and initiate processes, frameworks and measures to optimise performance
- Personally deliver direct annual revenue of at least £1m
- Any other duties as the business may reasonably require
