Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker/Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various site preparation and maintenance tasks to support construction projects. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with site clearance, including removing debris and organising materials
- Digging trenches, holes, and foundations using hand tools or machinery under supervision
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment as required
- Supporting skilled tradespeople with their tasks on-site
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assisting with the setup and dismantling of site facilities such as barriers and signage
- Performing general labouring duties as directed by supervisors or site managers
Experience
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or similar manual labour roles is essential
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and machinery is also essential
- Good physical fitness with the ability to carry out manual tasks for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
- Awareness of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites is beneficial, however training will be provided
- Full driving licence is a must.
