About the Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive QHSE Assistant to support our Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a keen interest in compliance, health and safety, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will assist in maintaining company standards, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and supporting the implementation of quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining QHSE documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.
- Maintain records relating to incidents, audits, inspections, and training.
- Coordinate and schedule internal audits and site inspections.
- Help investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformities.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date, and compliant with company and legal requirements.
- Assist in preparing reports and performance data for management.
- Support employee training and awareness programmes.
- Liaise with departments to promote a positive safety culture.
- Monitor and track corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or assistant role, ideally within a QHSE, compliance, or health and safety environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and quality management principles.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Driving Licence and a suitable vehicle ( a portion of your works will be onsite and travelling is essential)

Training and Development
Previous QHSE qualifications are not essential, as full training and support will be provided. We are committed to investing in the successful candidate's professional development and will provide opportunities to gain recognised industry qualifications and experience.
This role would suit someone with experience in administration, compliance, customer service or operations who is looking to develop a rewarding career in Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management.
Pay: £24,420.00-£28,000.00 per year
