The Role
As an Finance Graduate Trainee, you'll gain experience across all areas of the finance department, developing a strong commercial understanding while supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Group.
You will receive structured on-the-job training and work closely with experienced colleagues, giving you the opportunity to develop both your technical accounting knowledge and wider business skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Process purchase and sales ledger transactions.
- Reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Produce financial reports and management information.
- Help analyse business performance and financial trends.
- Support credit control and cash management activities.
- Assist with VAT returns and other statutory reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiencies.
- Work collaboratively with finance teams and operational departments across the Group.
About You
We're looking for someone who is ambitious, analytical and eager to learn.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
Previous finance experience is advantageous but not essential. We are looking for potential, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to build a successful career in finance.
