CNC Operatives - Day Shift (Monday to Friday) & Night Shift (Monday to Thursday)

We are seeking motivated CNC Operatives to join our growing team in Middlesbrough. Working within a busy steel processing environment, you will play a key role in producing high-quality machined and cut steel components to customer specifications.
Whether you already have experience operating CNC machinery or are looking to develop your skills in a manufacturing environment, we would love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
As a CNC Operative, you'll be responsible for:
- Operating plasma arc, oxy-fuel and CNC cutting machinery safely and efficiently.
- Producing quality steel components in line with customer requirements.
- Reading and completing production documentation accurately.
- Identifying and marking incoming steel with unique traceability information.
- Preparing and moving steel plate for production using remote-controlled overhead cranes.
- Inspecting finished products and carrying out dressing and grinding operations as required.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Working to production schedules and meeting challenging deadlines.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.
- Supporting other areas of the production process when required by the Shift Supervisor.

- Can work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
- Have good attention to detail and numeracy skills.
- Demonstrate reliability and excellent attendance.
- Have experience within manufacturing, engineering or steel processing environments (desirable).
The following would be advantageous but are not essential, as training can be provided:
- CNC machining or profile burning experience.
- Drilling or machining experience.
- Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Overhead crane experience.

- 20% Night Shift Allowance
Pay & Benefits
£12.71 - £14.54 per hour (depending on experience)
Overtime rates:
- Weekdays & Saturdays: Time and a Half
- Sundays: Double Time
