Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various premises, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the cleaning industry while contributing to a high standard of service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of communal spaces, offices, restrooms, and other facilities as required
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored appropriately after use
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with specialised cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleans and specialised sanitation procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to company policies and procedures
